The Pines Tennis Club & Canberra School of Tennis are pleased to announce Robert Jamieson as Head Coach effective immediately.
Robert began his coaching career 8 years ago. As a vital member of Canberra School of Tennis he has helped redevelop all CSoT programs including our Tennis in School Program. He has also been in charge of all Racquet Restrings & Wilson Merchandise. Robert competed successfully in Local Pennants & Tournaments as a junior as well as Teams events & tournaments around Australia. Robert attained his Tennis Australia Club Professional qualifications in 2011 & is a Tennis Australia Qualified Member as well as a MLC Tennis Hotshots deliverer. Robert has also attended the Australian Grand Slam Coaches Conference in Melbourne twice where he learned from the best coaches from all over Australia & the world. Robert was nominated in 2010 for the prestigious Tennis ACT Coach of the year. Robert was also awarded for the development of high performance athlete James Williams aged 12 of Duffy who is now a Tennis ACT National Academy Scholarship holder. He attributes this as one of his biggest highlights of his coaching career. Canberra School of Tennis has been successfully coaching at several centres around Canberra for over 20 years which was started by Mark Walton who also has attained his Tennis Australia Club Professional Qualifications, Tennis Australia Qualified Member & MLC Hotshots Deliverer. Mark is a former Winner of the Tennis ACT Coach of the Year award. Canberra School of Tennis currently provides a range of services for our clients which include Junior & Adult Coaching, with lessons starting as young as 4yrs old in our Mr Pee Wee Tennis, MLC Tennis Hotshots, In house Competitions for all ages & standards, Racquet Restrings, Wilson Racquets & equipment sales & hire, plus exciting adult & junior trips away both interstate & overseas. Robert is looking forward creating more opportunities for Tennis for everyone at The Pines Tennis Club & in the Tuggeranong Valley.
